Being Weaned
This is really a message to myself as much as to others. There are certain times in your life that you feel like a colt that has just been weaned. Life has taken a quick change and while you thought you were prepared (old enough, independent, wanting new things) suddenly when the event occurs, you long for your momma and can only think about the way life used to be. Maybe this is on the forefront of my mind as I just weaned my colt about four weeks ago. Maybe it is because I feel all thumbs in the technological world. Maybe it is because my house is a swamp instead of the normal desert. No matter what it is, now is the time to reach out for new herd mates (online members), discover new pastures (Zoom world awaits) and be willing to cross water on your own (literally as rain keeps falling). I am thankful to you all for possibly joining me in this weaning process as I navigate jumping into the online world with my lesson program. I am sure that there will be bumps in my learning curve, so if you are the boss mare in the herd, don't kick me too hard when I mess up. I have a good team behind me and issues will be resolved quickly. And if you are in a "weaning time" in your own life, take heart from one of my favorite verses. "I can do all things though Christ who strengthens me," Philippians 4:13. Ask God what He wants from you, rely on Him to get you through the challenge, and be willing to be uncomfortable for a period of time to have future growth.
